No Kings Vote Early Oct 17 & 18
No Kings: Vote Early
Saturday, October 17, 1230-330pm
Albemarle County Office Building parking lot (401 McIntire Road)
This No Kings is Something Different!
We've all protested but now we are laser-focused on GETTING OUT THE VOTE (GOTV) – critical for stopping the authoritarianism threatening to tear our country apart — and this time No Kings will be a day to act, to reach out directly to voters. Here’s the plan, and it needs another massive turnout to be maximally effective:
Saturday, October 17, 12:30-3:30pm — Teams (including you!) will gather at 1230pm at the Albemarle County Office Building on 401 McIntire Rd, Charlottesville, to gather and pick up voting information flyers before being dispersed to different locations throughout the community — shopping centers, soccer fields, parks — to make sure that every member of our community:
~ knows there’s a November 3 election, and that early voting is going on now;
~ knows what Constitutional amendments and candidates are on the ballot;
~ has a solid plan to vote ASAP (maybe on Sunday!).
You can choose what team role you want to take (e.g. talk to voters, hand out flyers, hold signs, decorate cars, etc.) and what part of town or type of location (parks, shopping centers) you prefer. Sign up with this Google Form link to choose a role/location on Saturday, October 17 or just grab a friend and join us.

Early Voting Parties at the Polls!
Sunday October 18, 12-5pm (or any subset!)
City Hall Annex on the Downtown Mall and Albemarle County Office Building on 5th St Exd.
Sunday, Oct 18, 2026 will be Virginia’s first-ever Early Voting Sunday for a general election! While Saturday is the big day of action (see above), polls won’t be open that day, so Indivisible Charlottesville is throwing "parties at the polls" Sunday afternoon to encourage the people we talk to on Saturday to come out right away on Sunday to vote early . We'll be partying at both polling locations, City of Charlottesville (City Hall Annex, 120 7th St. NE (just past the east end of the Downtown Mall) and Albemarle County (Albemarle County Office Building, 1600 5th St. Extended, NOT Ridge/McIntire at Preston). Exact party hours will depend on how many volunteers come forward to help cover the 5 hours each location is open, but Noon-3pm should be a very safe window to come by to be part of the voter en-couragement. The party features musicians (John D'earth included), singers, some sugary treats, and even an appearance by Uncle Sam!
