Keep Going Together Art Show: A First Fridays Exhibit of Creativity, Care and Community
First Fridays Reception at Central Library, 3rd Floor on Fri Sept 5, 500-700pm
What does it mean to “Keep Going Together”?
Keep Going Together hosts a community art exhibit at the Central Library that explores how creativity and connection hold us together.
Keep Going Together, a grassroots organization which works with non-profits to reduce suffering and harm in Charlottesville, hosts the Keep Going Together Art Show at the Central Library (201 E.Market St.) in September & October. The exhibit will include a range of creative pieces – from paintings and drawings, collage and photographs, to pottery and sculpture – by artists from around the community.
The Keep Going Together Art Show
The show and its surrounding events explore what it means to "Keep Going Together" and offer the experience of collective effervescence that happens when we create and act together.
“Even when things are hard, community creativity holds us together,” said Susan McCulley from Keep Going Together. “None of us can do everything but together we can do a lot. Our strength lies in everyone showing up with their talents and passion to offer what they can. The result is richer and more beautiful than what any one of us could do alone.”
