Sign Petition to Unmask ICE in our Community

Sign the Petition & Share it Widely

KGT has been speaking regularly at City Council and Board of Supervisor meetings to raise the alarm regarding the impacts of current federal policies. We continue to have grave concerns about immigration policy at the federal and state levels. That has prompted the Local Government Accountability group to draft a Resolution and circulate a supporting petition that would require ICE agents working in our community to identify themselves.

If passed it will require individuals holding themselves out as federal agents to be unmasked, use marked vehicles, provide identification and justification for their actions. Whenever possible local law enforcement will verify the credentials.

The City Council and The Board of Supervisors have received copies of the Resolution and we have been showing up at every meeting to tell them about the community support for it.

The Resolutions are identical. One petition will support both the City and Albemarle County. We now have more than 1000 signatures and would love to have more. Please sign and share!
